Update as at August 6, 2026

We are happy to share that Siti was discharged from the hospital on July 28, 2026.

She is recovering well after her 19 hour surgery. For about a week, she is required to travel back daily for wound care and dressing. Doctors have also advised her to rest and regain strength before beginning chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

To prepare for radiotherapy, Siti has been instructed to extract four decayed teeth. Her chemotherapy and radiotherapy will take place in Kota Kinabalu in about 8 weeks, and transportation from Sandakan as well as accommodation will also be arranged by Tzu Chi volunteers.

We are deeply grateful for your kind donations, which have made this life saving treatment possible.

Together, we will cheer Siti on throughout her treatment and wish her a full recovery. ❤️🫶🏻
